Newest book from Coach Simpson - filled with information on building your offensive structure.

Each chapter examines one part of what it takes to be great as an offensive playcaller.  My goal was to be as practical as possible in these areas.  Too many times, I’ve seen “coach speak” on topics, but I wanted this book to be something a coach can read and clearly understand the point.  

I will use multiple examples in this book with diagrams that we have done in my time as an offensive play caller, but this book is not for only a specific type of offense.  These principles should work for any offensive structure.  Take what works best for your system, and don’t use the areas that would not work for your offense.  I hope that whatever offense you run, at whatever level you coach, these principles can help. 

Besides the Head Coach position, the playcaller on offense has the most direct impact on the game.  The game of football favors the offense, and a great offensive structure is a massive advantage for a team.  While talent is always the most important factor, a great play-caller can hugely impact the game.  Take time to continue to improve each season, as great playcallers spend countless hours coming up with as many answers as possible before they take the field.
